(3) Stacking and incubation
The spawn run or incubation period is the key stage for the growth of the mushroom’s mycelium. If it is done successfully, it will have a major impact on the mushroom yield. During this period, the most important thing is to select a suitable place in which the mycelial filaments will spread through the logs. In a favorable location, the mushroom’s mycelium will grow vigorously and inhibit the growth of competing fungi.
(4) Fruiting management
When the mushroom mycelia are mature and are about to fruit, the logs should be moved to a suitable location and stacked in a lean-to inverted-Y array.
